7 shirt and jeans outfits that are far from boring

Each generation seems to go through a rite of passage where they “discover” trends – like the combo of classic shirts and jeans – and ideas already recognized by those who preceded them. Among these, fashion is a particularly vulnerable area. The entire cycle of the fashion trend can often look like a long exercise in collective forgetting. So, let’s take a moment to recognize that the outfit formula that claims that fashion experts will be the tendency of spring 2025 is neither original nor new. It is not particularly interesting or, as Miranda Priestly would say, “revolutionary”. However, perhaps the lack of originality is precisely what makes it attractive.

Yes, a shirt and jeans broke the Internet when Kate Moss crossed the Spring / Summer 2023 show track of Bottega Veneta. But whatever you do, skip the heels – take your signals from the 90s jet and respect discreet apartments such as sneakers, moccasins or ballet pumps. Less chic and becks, more Sofia Coppola.
The silhouettes can move and the colors come and go, but in its purest form, a shirt and jeans is the so-basic-it’s-brilliant twinning which has become a gold stallion for a reason. And as they say – if it’s not broken …
