9 foods to avoid having with dairy, according to experts

Regarding health, Dairy has long played both Hero and Villain. Although it is a source of calcium and protein, it does not always work harmoniously with everything on your plate. Nutritionists say that the food you associate with Dairy has as much as the dairy itself.

“You are not what you eat, but what you digest,” explains Nicole Linhares Kedia, sports nutritionist and integrative health coach. “Even foods rich in nutrients can turn against him when they are poorly combined.” So what are the best foods to avoid having with dairy products? Here is what experts advise.

Bananas # 1

Your breakfast smoothie could do more harm than good. “Bananas and milk can be heavy for some, slowing down digestion,” explains Kedia. “In Ayurveda, it is a viruddha (incompatible) combination.” The pairing can cause mucus formation or intestinal imbalances.

To try: Nuts of nuts, oats or non -dairy yogurt.

# 2 Agruus Fruits

Acid fruits such as oranges or grapefruits can hug milk in the stomach, leading to bloating or discomfort. “Fruits and digest milk at different speeds,” explains Karishma Shah, integrative nutritionist and health psychologist. Ayurveda warns that this combo can create Amat—The incorporated residues that lead to skin problems or allergies.

To try: Combine citrus fruits with green vegetables or coconut water. Exchange dairy products with almond milk when mixing berries.

# 3 fish and meat

Fish or meat with dairy products is another viruddha pairing, explains Shah. “Dairy products are cooling and the meat or fish is warm. This energy conflict causes toxicity, increases tamas (inertia) and weakens the AGNI (digestive fire), “adds Kedia that this can trigger skin thrusts, slowness or inflammation.

According to Linhares, fish also arrive at the top of the list of foods to avoid having with dairy products as this can cause skin problems such as rashes or eczema, digestive disturbances and, in rare cases, food intolerances and increased inflammation. “This can even lead to low immunity, a decrease and an accumulation of toxins in the blood,” says Shah.

To try: Mix the fish with steamed vegetables, whole grains and olive oil for better digestion and absorption of omega-3.

# 4 Sour Foods

Vinegar, pickles and tomatoes do not associate well with milk or shutter. “In Ayurveda, bitter foods and dairy products compete vigorously, causing a disturbance of the Doshic balance (mainly Kapha and Pitta),” explains Shah. “This increases the production of mucus and heat in the body, resulting in possible side effects such as excess lazy, respiratory problems, digestive irritation and a risk of sinus or cold congestion.”
