Market will open only three days this week
This week is going to be slightly different for investors and traders. Because this week there will be no trading in NSE and BSE two days. Today i.e. on April 14, the stock market will be closed on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti and on April 18.
This means that on the first day of the week i.e. Monday and the last day of the week i.e. Friday, both are market holiday. In such a situation, due to continuous holidays, there will be a trading session in NSE and BSE only three days i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Trading will not be done in all segments on 14 April
On Monday, April 14, both NSE and BSE will remain closed due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti. On this day there will be no trading in equity, derivatives and currency markets. That is, the Dalal Street will be completely calm on Monday.
There will be trading in the evening shift in the commodity market
If you look at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), there will be no trading in the morning shift (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) on Monday. But after 5 pm, the market will open again and trading will start.
Three holidays in April, a total of 14 trading holidays a year
According to the BSE and NSE website, there are a total of 14 stock market holidays in 2025. There has been a holiday so far in April, which was on 10 April on Mahavir Jayanti. Now on 14 April i.e. today, Ambedkar Jayanti will be on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and on the occasion of Good Friday 2025 on 18 April.
