DC vs rr super thriller ipl 2025: Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals in the super over in the Indian Premier League match on Wednesday on the basis of Mitchell Starc’s brilliant batting. Delhi needed 12 runs in the super over, but he achieved this target in four balls. Delhi Capitals came out to bat first and scored 188 runs for five wickets. In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal (51 runs off 27 balls) and Nitish Rana (51 runs off 28 balls) scored a fierce half -century to give Rajasthan Royals lead.
The match reached the super over thanks to Stark’s brilliant final over and the visiting team scored 188 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. Rajasthan needed nine runs in the last over and Stark carried forward the match by only eight runs. Earlier, the domestic team performed well with an innings of 49 runs off 37 balls in the top order of Abhishek Porel and although KL Rahul played 32 balls to score 38 runs, captain Akshar Patel (34 off 14 balls) and Triston Stabs (34 off 18 balls) scored innings in the top gear, which succeeded in crossing the DC 185 -run mark.

Rajasthan, chasing the target against Delhi, equaled the score after scoring 188 runs, after which the first super over of the IPL 2025 season was played which started by Hetmyer and Ryan Parag and in front was Mitchell Starc.
First ball – No run run dot
Second ball – Hetmyer hit a four
Third ball – Hetmyer took 1 run
Fourth ball – Ryan Parag four but the ball was no ball
Fourth ball – Ryan Parag is run out
Fifth ball – Hetmyer played the shot but did not coordinate with Jaiswal and both fled for the run but while returning from the middle, Yashasvi was run out by Mitchell Starc. The Rajasthan team could score only 11 runs with 1 ball remaining in the super over after losing two wickets.
KL Rahul rocked
First ball – Chasing a target of 12 runs, Delhi took two runs off Sandeep Sharma’s first ball and missed the run out.
Second ball – KL Rahul hit a four in the direction of point
Third ball – No run came
Fourth ball – KL Rahul hit a six and took Delhi beyond the target.
