One country, two governments and more than 10 thousand corpses… Is it on the verge of breakdown?

The civil war started in Sudan exactly two years have passed. The war between the Army and the paramilitary (paramilitary force) present in the power inside this African country continues. This war has killed more than 10 thousand people. In such a situation, Sudan’s Paramilitary Force RSF announced to form its new government to compete with the Army’s current government on the day of two years of the onset of the civil war, that is, on Tuesday, April 15.
The United Nations says that the struggle started on 15 April 2023 is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Because of this, 1.3 crore people have been displaced, including more than 3.5 million countries. The worst thing is that there is no sign of peace.
Is Sudan on the verge of breakdown?
When the Rapid Support Forces announced the rival government under the chairmanship of Paramilitary (Rapid Support Forces/ RSF) leader Mohammad Hamdan Daglo, the apprehension increased that the division will increase further, now the fight will be between two rival governments. Right now there is an army government in Sudan, which Abdel Fattah leads al-Badhan. RSF leader Daglo used to run the government together with Al-Burhan before the start of the civil war two years ago. Both have been accused of misuse of their power in these two years.
Daglo said in a telegram statement, “On this anniversary, we proudly announce the establishment of peace and unity government. It is a broad alliance that reflects the real face of Sudan.” RSF and his colleagues signed a charter in Kenya in February, announced “Sarkar of Shanti and Ekta” in their control areas. Daglo’s new statement stated that a transitional constitution was signed by the paramilitary force with “civil and political forces”, which was “Roadmap for a new Sudan”. He provides for the Constitution “Representing all regions, a symbol of our voluntary unity” the 15 -member princely council.
People forced to leave home, city and country
“In these two years, millions of people have been shattered in Sudan in Sudan,” said the Life of millions, in these two years. The families have been broken. The livelihood is lost. And for many people, the future remains uncertain. ” With the onset of the war in 2023, countless people were killed and hundreds of thousands of people fled from Khartum. Those who lagged behind struggled to live under the control of RSF. Paramilitary has been accused of looting and sexual violence.

The capital of Sudan was under the control of RSF until the army withdrew it last month. 52 -year -old Abdel Rafi Hussain, who lives here, said, “My weight is half weight .. We (now) are safe, but still, we are suffering from water and electricity shortage and most of the hospitals are not working.”
The United Nations said that more than 400 people have died in recent times. The paramilitary forces have claimed control of the nearby Jamjam displacement camp on Sunday. According to the United Nations International Organization for Migration, the estimated 4 lakh citizens fled from the famine affected camp when RSF proceeded.
The United Nations human agency OCHA said, “Jamjam camp cannot be reached. Can not be verified independently independently as the communication is blackout .. But pictures from the satellite are showing that the camp has been on a large scale arson.” At the same time, the army said on Tuesday that it has launched “successful air strikes” on RSF locations in the north-east of Al-Fashar.
An international conference in London demanded to stop the fight while the US condemned the deaths in Darfur.
Will the path of peace come out of London?
Ministers of several countries in London held a conference and discussed ways to end the ongoing struggle in Sudan. But the special thing was that none of the fighting fights had joined it. In this conference, European countries called for a “immediate and permanent ceasefire” to end this disastrous war. These countries also promised to give a new fund of more than 800 million euros ($ 900 million) for humanitarian aid.
At the same time, other countries and organizations including the African union also “emphasized the need to stop any division of Sudan”. The G7 Foreign Ministers met in Canada and talked about immediate and unconditional ceasefire. In a statement, the G7 powers have urged both sides to “get involved in a meaningful, creative talks”.
Although the exact number of those who died is not available, but former American messenger Tom Periello had estimated the death of 150,000 people last year. On Tuesday, the United Nations said that after the army captured the capital, 2.1 million people returned to Khartum in the next six months. Support agencies say that hunger is now a widespread threat. The Jamjam camp was giving shelter to one million people and it was the first place in Sudan where the famine was declared. Now there has also been a large number of violence there. In the case of famine, other camps nearby have also followed it and there is a possibility of famine in Al-Fashar by next month.
