Pope Francis will be cremated on 26 April
The funeral of Pope Francis will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 1.30 pm (Indian time) at the Chowk in front of the Basilica of St. Peters in Vatican City. His coffin will again be taken inside the church and will be taken to Santa Maria Magigore’s Rome Basilica to bury from there. This information has been given by Vatican City.
Pope died due to heart failure
Pope Francis was admitted to a hospital in Rome on 14 February due to bronchitis, which later turned into double pneumonia and his condition was very bad about twice. On March 23, he was discharged from the hospital. His health was to be intensively monitored for the next 2 months.
He also came in front of everyone on Easter Sunday but he looked clearly weak. The Vatican announced his death on the same day i.e. Monday. According to the death certificate issued by the Vatican, Francis died of “cerebral stroke, coma, irreversible cardiresculatory colps”. In the easy word, first he got stroke and later the heart failed.
