Vote injury to Khalistan in Canada, Jagmeet Singh did not have his own seat- left post of party chief

Canada Election Results 2025: The biggest news from India’s perspective in the general elections held in Canada is that the National Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh has lost from Bernabi Central seat. Accepting this defeat, Jagmeet Singh has given up the leadership of the party. He said that he will remain in interim post until a new leader is found. Jagmeet Singh thanked his supporters and his family in the NDP election party and congratulated Liberal leader Mark Karney on his victory. He said that Mark Carney has to do an important job to protect Canada from the threats of Donald Trump.

Jagmeet Singh’s party, NDP contested all 343 seats, but the party is leading in only 8 seats. The party, which won 24 seats in the last 2021 elections, has remained under 12 seats this time and due to this it has lost the status of the national party. This conclusion is being seen as a shock for Khalistan supporters in Canada as NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is recognized as a pro -Khalistani supporter.

Jagmeet Singh was contesting his third election. He lost his Branbi Central seat to a Liberal candidate in British Columbia. While Jagmeet Singh got about 27.3 percent of the votes, his rival Wade Chang got more than 40 percent votes.

Jagmeet Singh, a lawyer, was born on 2 January 1979 in Scarborough, Ontario. A large number of Indians from Punjab live in this region. She is married to fashion designer Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu, with whom she has two children.

Arsh to floor?

By one and a half century, the leading political parties of Canada were led only by white politicians. But it changed in 2017, when Jagmeet Singh became the first black man to lead a major federal party to win the NDP leadership in the first voting. For years, due to his slight but important seats, Jagmeet Singh played the role of balance in the Parliament of Canada, carrying forward the minority government of former Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. However in 2024, he pulled support from the Trudeau government. Jagmeet Singh at the time accused Trudeau of bowing to corporate interests and thwarting the common Canadian people, saying, “Liberal is very weak.”
