Here we are talking about Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. These days he will be a nervous, troubled person. When Operation Sindoor was going on, people were asking where the generals are missing. The news even went on to go on hiding in the bunkers. This cannot be confirmed, but there is no doubt that the biggest villains of Indo-Pak relations are the same.

Munir’s grip on Pakistan

General Asim Munir is just the head of the army. But how big his status is currently in the entire politics of Pakistan, and how big he must have played in the attack on Pahalgam on 22 May- many evidences have been accessible. The latest proof is that when Pakistan appealed to America to take a ceasefire, General Asim Munir was also one of the personalities whom the US spoke in Pakistan. Can it be imagined that a foreign politician should talk to a general of India to stop or take any war forward? Actually, it shows that Munir has become a person with great status in Pakistan’s politics these days.

General Asim Munir is called Jihadi General. And this has been going on against India like Jihad. When they come in front, they spew poison against India. In the last month, in April, in the conference of Overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad, he continuously listened to such things, which anyone could have pityed on their understanding. He said that Hindus and Muslims are completely different from each other. Munir has said this in mind, it is not so. He cleverly wants to hurt the common culture of India and Pakistan, which raises questions about the entire existence of Pakistan. He wants to deny the sharing of Tehzeeb, music, food, dress, and tongue between India and Pakistan. He needs a staunch Pakistan with West Asian identity, not a South Asian liberal Pakistan. Therefore, they support the principle of two-nationalism. Munir did not stop here. He also raised the issue of Kashmir, about which Pakistan has been making statements for the past several years. He said that Kashmir is the vein of Pakistan’s neck, it cannot be cut.

Actually, the speech of General Munir in this program seemed not to any army chief, but of a leader. Surprisingly, many leaders including Shahbaz Sharif were sitting in the audience gallery in front of him. People felt that this speech is a speech of wishes within a military general.

It is not meaningless that whatever happened in Pahalgam on 22 April, its role started with similar speeches. General Asim Munir is not just morally guilty for these attacks, but at the level of pure implementation, his people may have played a role in it. By the way, this is not the first time that the General has tried to hurt India.

Munir has been conspiring against India

Pahalgam has now happened, Pulwama was done five years ago. This person is also responsible for Pulwama. At that time, General Munir was not the head of the army, he was the Chief of Pakistan’s infamous intelligence agency ISI. It was the day of February 14, 2019, when the CRPF convoy near Pulwama on the Jammu-Srinagar highway was attacked by an explosive car filled with explosives. This was a terrible attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. It was one of the most frightening terrorist attacks in India. The Jaish took responsibility for this, whose headquarters was blown away by the Indian Army recently.
But the conspiracy of Pulwama attack was the ISI Chief Asim Munir.

However, by then Pakistan did not know that India would enter Pulwama’s answer in Balakot. After this, Pakistan also tried to retaliate. It is believed that behind this attempt was the role of a committee formed under the leadership of Asim Munir which forced Pakistan’s military-economic leadership to respond to the Indian attack.
Interestingly, General Munir did not even have his support, who supported him.

General Munir is nobody’s

Munir was made the Director General of ISI on 25 October 2018. Then Imran Khan was the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Asim Munir played a very conspiracy and a crooked role in Pulwama and the subsequent incident. But Munir could not stay the head of ISI for a long time. He was the shortest time ISI chief in the history of Pakistan. It is believed that he was removed under the pressure of Imran by Qamar Javed Bajwa, who was the army chief. Munir claims that he had exposed the corruption of Imran and his wife Bushra, which he had to face punishment. However, Imran calls it a completely false accusation and says that neither Munir had shown any evidence against him nor did Imran asked him to remove him.

Munir’s real luck, however, opened after this. Interestingly, he had made up his mind to retire, but destiny had some more acceptance. He also got a chance to take revenge on Imran soon in Pakistan’s opposite politics. Asim Munir was to retire on November 27, 2022. He had also given a letter of retirement but it was rejected by the Ministry of Defense. He was made the Chief of Army Staff just three days before retirement. This was the date of 24 November 2022.

Had it been late for three days, Munir would have been in the dustbin of history. Buses were remembered like the villain of Pulwama. But by then there had been such a change in Pakistan’s politics that they became the choice of the new government. In April 2022, there was a no -confidence motion against Imran Khan in Pakistan’s National Assembly. Imran’s government fell and Shahbaz Sharif was sworn in as Prime Minister as the leader of PML Nawaz. Shahbaz, after talking to Nawaz Sharif, recommended to make Asim Munir Chief of Army Staff. The special thing is that Arif Alvi, who was President in those days, also accepted this recommendation on the same day. Not only this, he was first made the army chief for three years. Shahbaz government’s kindness on Munir continued even further.

In the midst of all this, Munir paid the favor of Shahbaz Sharif and decided to almost end Imran and his party. Imran was sent to jail on charges of corruption and most of the leaders of his party were intimidated. During this time, Imran’s popularity continued to grow. It began to look clear that his party is winning the election in the 2024 elections. But the recognition of PTI was abolished, their election symbol was taken away. Despite this, Imran fought elections as independents and emerged as the biggest group. But under the leadership of Munir, the intervention of the army changed the election results.

Now this game is also changing

Interestingly, now this game is also changing. It looks like Munir is not just satisfied with the army chief. He must be inspiring the history of Pakistan in which many army chiefs took over the presidency. His attitude is at the moment that he looks bigger than political leadership. Actually, this is a new challenge in front of Pakistan’s Jamhooriyat. The kind of game that took place in the 2024 elections, the current rule has lost the trust of the people. In such a situation, it is possible that Asim Munir wants to take the key of power in his hand.

So Asim Munir is such villain who belong to anyone. One of the objective behind the attack of Pahalgam was that the distance and tension between India and Pakistan increased. If this tension increases, people look at the army. But after Pahalgam, the action of the Indian Army on nine terrorist bases changed the atmosphere. Pakistan tried to show power, then the retaliation took away its remaining status. So Munir is not only the villain of India, can also be villains for the Government of Pakistan and late for the Pak Army. After all, an army, filled with seven lakh professionals and nuclear weapons, has to hear the old joke that the Pakistani army does not lose any election and no war.
