Google rolls out new ID verification feature on Android phone know all details

If you ever get a thief or lose a phone, no unknown person can steal your phone even if they know your password. Yes, if you are using Android phones then this news is for you. In fact, Google has given a new feature to Android phones. The feature is called Identity Check. This feature will add an extra layer of security and users will get complete security in case of phone theft.

The benefit of the new feature will be available when the users password access phone, pin or password will be with the stolen ones. Users with identity verifications will need to enter biometrics such as fingerprints or Face IDs for changes to sensitive device settings or account settings. This way, user data will be completely safe. Apart from this, features like theft detection lock and offline device lock will also be included in the phone.

It has been revealed that iEDENDITY’s new verification feature will be active, if the user is using a phone outside of a trusted location. If you understand easily, your trusted location can be your home or office and if apart from these locations you will try to change the account and other security settings of your phone elsewhere and the extra layer will be applicable. This feature was in the works for a long time and signs were found earlier as well.

Currently, the new feature is rolling out for select Android devices. Which work on the Android 15 operating system. It is possible that after the initial testing, the remaining devices will also have their access. Currently, all Android users will have to wait. It is not necessary that devices working on older Android version will also have their advantage, but the company has not given any official information regarding this.
