3D flowers, embroidered corsets and the scent of oudh: Inside Karleo’s couture preview in Dubai

“Couture must feel from the moment you enter,” said Karan Berry, creative director of Karleo Vogue India, “it must be presented in a certain way and felt before it is seen.” During the intimate overview of Karleo of their latest collection in Dubai, organized by the stylist of Nuance Couture with Christina, and in partnership with The Vogue Wedding Workshop, this ideal has flowered remarkably. Karan Berry and Leon Vaz, co-founders of Karleo, are ambassadors of the Vogue Wedding Workshop, a celebration of art of art and culture which takes place in New Delhi, from August 8 to 10 at the Taj Palace.

During the window, the guests were welcomed with the sweet cadence of a piano and the smoked scent of Oudh. A private villa filled with dispersed masterpieces sets the tone for a breathtaking experience. The collection, entitled Flowers of the worldis a love letter to flowers, with each piece inspired by a different flower like the delicate Sakura of Japan, the striking protection of South Africa or the sacred lotus of India.

At the heart of Karleo’s design philosophy is love for duality, which shines through this business. “Everything is very soft, delicate, delicate, but daring. As with everything we do in Karleo, we sought to create magic from the trivial. And with each texture, each rhythm, that’s exactly where we found ourselves,” revealed Berry. Cut fabrics like silk, tulle, duchess satin and pancake, Flowers of the world Evolves perfectly from evening clothes with tea dresses, skirts and pearl corsets for wedding uses with a train and a cape. “Seeing this kind of harmony presenting itself as the collection progressed was magnificent for us,” shared Berry.
