The director of films Chandra Barot dies in formal part of the film industry

Veteran filmmaker Chandra Barot died at the age of 86 after a long fight with pulmonary fibrosis. Known for the direction of the successful film Amitabh Bachchan, Don (1978), which inspired several remakes and suites inherited in various languages, Barot breathed his last at a hospital in Bandra, in Mumbai, Sunday.

Barot’s family gave this information. After the announcement of the death of Barot, many celebrities of Bollywood, including Amitabh Bachchan, paid tribute to him. Bachchan described the filmmaker as his “very dear friend”. Bachchan wrote on his blog: “Another sad moment … my dear friend and director of Don Chandra Barot died this morning. These damage is difficult to describe with words. We worked together, but he was more friend of the family than that … I can only pray. ”

According to Barot’s family, he was fighting against “idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis” (pulmonary disease) for 11 years and was treated at Guru Nanak hospital. Chandra’s wife Deepa Barot told “Pti-Bhasha”, “he died due to a heart attack at Guru Nanak hospital this morning at 6:30 a.m. he said he was suffering from a pulmonary disease in the past 11 years.

The filmmaker’s funerals were played in the presence of family and friends around four in the evening. Barot also worked as assistant director of actor-director Manoj Kumar in “Purab and Paschim”, “Roti Tissle Aur House”, “Memorable” and “Shor”. After “Don”, Chandra Barot made the Bengali film “Ashrita” in 1989.

In 2018, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the film “Don”, Barot shared very interesting information in an interview with “Pti-Bhasha”. Barot had reported that he had decided to make a film to release a friend producer Nariman Irani with his friends Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and Pran.
