Green tea health benefits: Sometimes tea used to be only a way to eradicate fatigue, but now tea has also become a part of health. Amid the changing routine and increasing stress, today people have become more aware of their health than ever before. A large part of this healthy change has become ‘Green Tea’, which has now made its place in the Indian kitchen. It is believed that green tea leaves have properties that detox the body and help in fighting many diseases.

Green tea is called Camellia Sinensis in scientific language. Milk or sugar is not added to it and its taste is slightly bitter, but it is considered very beneficial for health.

According to scientists’ research, green tea contains many anti-oxidants, which cleans the toxic elements stored inside the body. This reduces the risk of heart diseases, remains under weight control and the digestive system is also good. Many research has proved that it can also help reduce inflammation of the large intestine, diabetes and alcohol loss.

Drinking one to three cups of green tea a day is considered beneficial. To make it, a tea bag or 2-4 grams of green tea is inserted in warm water for 1-2 minutes. Boiling it for a long time can make its taste bitter and its properties can also be reduced. Some people also add ginger, basil, cinnamon or cardamom to it, which increases both its taste and effect.

Excessive consumption of green tea can also cause harm. According to research, drinking too much green tea can cause symptoms such as sleeplessness, stomach gas, loss of appetite or rapid heartbeat. Apart from this, people who are taking blood pressure or depression medicines should take green tea only with the advice of a doctor.
