Lose your driver’s license and get duplicated DLs like this easily
If your driver’s license (DL) is lost, stolen or becomes very old and bad, there’s no need to panic. In such cases, you can obtain a valid duplicate driving license that is officially issued by the RTO and instead of the original download. Please tell me what to do in this situation. Under what circumstances can I replicate my DL?
Duplicate DLs can be constructed in the following situations:
– The original download will be lost.

Which documentation do I need?
To replicate the DL, you must submit the following document:
– Full Form LLD (this is to notify DL of disappearance or malfunction).
-Copy of FIR if DL is lost.
– Valid ID (Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, etc.).
– Address proof (e.g. electricity bill, passage, gas book).
– Passport size photos.
– Copy of old DL photos (if available).

When filling up form LLDs, be especially careful about the following:
– Write your name and address just like the original download is turned on.

How do I apply it to RTO?
1. You will be redirected to your nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO).

Why do I need to do FIR?
If your DL is lost or stolen, go to your local police station first and register your FIR. This FIR is required when applying duplicate downloads. Replication licenses are not issued without an FIR.
Online Application Process
You can now also apply for duplicate downloads online that you are sitting at home. The step-by-step process is as follows:
1. Go to the Parivahan.gov.in portal.
2. Click “Operate license-related services.”
3. Choose your kingdom.
4. Select the “Apply replica driver’s license” option.
5. Enter all your information in the online application form.
6. Upload a scanned copy of the document.
7. Pay the fee (200 or 400 rupees according to the state).
8. Submit your application form and pay attention to your application number.
9. This application number allows you to track the status of your DL.
10. In the event of application processing and approval, RTO will send the download to the address.
What should I do if I have a very old download?
If your driver’s license is very old and the digital or information is not clear, it should be applied offline. For this, you will need to go directly to the RTO and submit the document and form. This process may take a little longer, but this is how to update your old DL.
How much does the fee cost?
Usually, there is a charge of Rs 200 for duplicate driver licenses.
If you want to create a DL in the smart card format, you will need to pay 400 rupees.
This amount can vary slightly in different states, so check the pricing information on the state website before applying.
