First Look: Louis Vuitton is launching make-up at last. Here’s why Pat McGrath is just the person for the job

Fall / winter 2025 shows are in full swing, and there is nothing more busy than the makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath. McRATH, which will pass 15 shows this season only, can generally find beauty looks outside behind the scenes during the fashion month, but today it is before and in the center, because it is announced that Louis Vuitton is launching his first foray, highly anticipated in makeup – La Beauté Louis Vuitton – with McGrath à la Helm. Entering the newly created role of the creative director of Cosmetics at the House (Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud leads to the existing perfume line as a master perfumer), McGrath has already been behind the scenes of the shows in the past 20 years, and working on the development of products of this line for four years, while showing its own eponymous brand, Pat McGrath Labs.
