SRH VS RR: Travis Head and Ishaan Kishan achieved this special place in T20 cricket by batting stormy

Travis Head and Ishan Kishan T20 Runs Record SRH vs RR IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Travis Head and Ishaan Kishan completed their 4,000 and 5,000 runs in T20 cricket on Sunday. Kishan and Head achieved new status in their T20 career in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at their home ground Uppal Stadium. Travis Head T20 record made a brilliant start as an opener and scored 67 runs in just 31 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. His run came from a strike rate of 216.13. In 147 T20 matches, Head has scored 4,003 runs at an average of 31.76 and a strike rate of 149.25, including two centuries and 24 fifties. His best score is 102.

On the other hand, Ishaan, who came out to bat at number three, fully followed the pattern set by Abhishek Sharma and Head and scored his first IPL century by scoring 106* runs with the help of 11 fours and six sixes in 47 balls. His run came from a strike rate of 225.53. Now, in 193 T20I, Kishan has scored 5,022 runs in 193 matches and 185 innings, including four centuries, 28 fifties and the best score of 113*. His runs have come at an average of 29.02 and a strike rate of above 134.

Talking about the match, SRH was called by RR for batting first, which opted for fielding first. Abhishek (24 runs in 11 balls, with the help of five fours) and a 45 -run partnership between Head started the victory for SRH. The 85-run partnership between the head (67 runs in 31 balls, nine fours and three sixes) and Kishan intensified the run-rate. Nitish Kumar Reddy (30 runs in 15 balls, four fours and a six) and Heinrich Klassen (34 runs in 14 balls, five fours and a six) did the cameo and gave good support to Ishaan, who scored 106* runs with the help of 11 fours and six sixes in 47 balls.

Tushar Deshpande (3/44) was the top bowler for RR, while Mahesh Deshana took two wickets for 52 runs. Jofra Archer threw the most expensive over in IPL history, in which he did not take any wicket for 76 runs in four overs. During the run-chase, RR reached 24/2, with Yashswi Jaiswal and captain Ryan Parag returned to the pavilion on a single point score. However, a militant partnership of 111 runs between Sanju Samson (66 runs in 37 balls, seven fours and four sixes) and Dhruv Jurlel (70 in 35 balls, five fours and six sixes) gave RR a chance to fight.

Shimron Hetmyer (42* runs, four and four sixes) and Shubham Dubey (34* runs in 11 balls, one four and four sixes) shared 80 runs, but the score was very big for RR and ended at 242/6 for RR, losing the game by 44 runs. Harshal Patel (2/34) and Simarjit Singh (2/46) were the top bowlers for SRH, while Mohammed Shami got one wicket. Ishaan was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for his brilliant century.
