Yesterday, the governor of Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu made a key judgment – the governor cannot have absolute veto power or “pocket veto power” (sitting indefinitely in state legislation). The SC announced that the TN Legislature passed 10 pending bills that have been approved by the governor. Importantly, it sets a timeline for action for all future bills, which does not include Article 200 of the Constitution.
