Action is ready on India Pakistan, UN general secretary talked about what said to Jaishankar and Shahbaz

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir, the United Nations entry has become under the increased tension between India and Pakistan. United Nations General Secretary Antonio Guterres talked separately to India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen died.
According to the United Nations statement, the General Secretary in his phone call, through valid methods, noted the importance of advancing justice and accountability for the attack. The statement said that he also expressed deep concern over the increasing stress between India and Pakistan and emphasized the need to avoid such conflict, which could have tragic consequences and offered their good office to support stress efforts.

In a post on social media platform X, Jaishankar said, “United Nations SG Antonio Guterres received a call. I appreciate his clear condemnation of terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Agreed on the importance of accountability. India’s resolve is that criminals, planners and supporters of this attack will be brought in the dock of justice.”
At the same time, Pakistani PM Sharif pleaded for a fair investigation into the Pahalgam incident in a telephone conversation with Guterres. Sharif wrote on X on Tuesday, “Telephone conversation with United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres. I confirmed the condemnation of all forms of terrorism, dismissed the baseless Indian allegations and called for a transparent and impartial investigation of the Pahalgam incident … Pakistan is committed to peace, but will protect its sovereignty with full force.”
PM Modi gave ‘free hand’ to the army
Earlier on Tuesday, April 29, on the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting, which included Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and heads of the three armies. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was also present in the meeting. The meeting was held a few days after the Cabinet Committee meeting on security on 23 April after the terrorist attack.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed that it is India’s national resolve to attack terrorism. PM Modi expressed full confidence in the professional capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces. PM Modi said that the Indian armed forces have complete operational freedom to take the way of India’s response, goal and timely decision. That is, PM Modi has given free hand to the army for further action.
Significantly, after the Pahalgam attack, India has taken strong steps against Pakistan to support cross -border terrorism. At the Cabinet Committee (CCS) meeting on security under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 April, India decided to postpone the 1960 Indus Water Treaty until Pakistan trusted its support for terrorism across the border. Apart from this, the attic border has also been closed and all the Pakistanis living in India are being sent back.
