Adani Power profit increased by 7.4% in Q3, 11% increase in income

Adani Power released the results of the third quarter of FY 25 on Wednesday. The company’s profit has increased by 7.4 percent to Rs 2,940 crore on an annual basis in October-December period, which was Rs 2,738 crore in the same period of a year ago. Adani Power said in the stock exchange filing that the company’s consolidated profit has increased by 23 percent to Rs 6,185 crore on an annual basis in the third quarter of the current financial year, which was Rs 5,009 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s income has increased by 11 percent to Rs 14,833 crore on an annual basis, which was Rs 13,355 crore in the third quarter of FY 24. The reason for increasing income is more volume.
Adaani Power CEO S.B. Khyalia said, “The company is moving rapidly towards achieving the target of production capacity of more than 30 gigawatts by 2030.”
He further said, “The company is ready to take advantage of the opportunities arising in the Indian thermal power sector due to the increasing demand for energy.”
The company’s consolidated power sales have reached 23.3 billion units (BU) in the December quarter, which is 8 percent more than 21.5 BU in the third quarter of FY 24.
In nine months (April-December) of this financial year, the company’s electricity sales were 69.5 BU, which is 22 percent more than 57.1 BU in the same period of FY 24.
The company said, “Consolidated Continuous Continuous Profit Biffor Tax (PBT) for the nine months of FY 2025 has increased by 33 percent to Rs 10,679 crore as compared to the same period of FY 2024, as compared to Rs 8,006 crore.”
Khyalia further said, “We are taking steps from backward integration to digitization of our operations to improve our competitiveness, so that we can get ready for the future. Our continuous attention on ESG efforts has given us our global The top 15 percent of the peers is included and got international recognition. “
