Aditi Rao Hydari’s floral anarkali layers vivid panels under a sheer navy drape

Aditi Rao Hydari proves that Anarkali has always been more than a garment. Named after the courtesan whose history has passed in legend, he has become the uniform of the Mughal courts, worn where poetry was recited in the Chandelle rooms and Kathak was played on marble soils. Over time, he moved to the regions, adapted to new fabrics and embroidery, but has kept the same sense of flow and line. Few embody this heritage today as instinctively as Aditi Rao Hydari, who seems to enter the story every time she carries one.

For Dil Rang Zareen de Torani, part of the “Juloos” collection of the label, she wore an anarkali of Slub silk built from floral panels in bright roses, mustard and green yellows. A churidaar founded the look, while a navy blue dupatta was superimposed on top like a night falling on a flower garden. The effect was both pictorial and precise.
The style of Sanam Ratansi struck the right balance. Gold Chandbalis has mixed the classic crescent shape with Kundan, Meenakari and Pearl cascade levels. These declaration earrings framed his face; Dramatic and imbued with the art of mughale inspiration, needing anything else beyond a single lonely style ring with a large round stone which immediately caught the eye.
The beauty look was gentle but deliberate: Kohl’s cut eyes, brushed eyebrows and a balanced petal pink lip against luminous skin. The hair worn in cowardly waves kept the neat finish, leaving anarkali’s scan doing the work.
