Alia Bhatt wears a stark black Murshidabad silk sari to celebrate 25 years of Sabyasachi

Alia Bhatt arrived for the celebrations of the quarter century of Sabyasachi, dressed in the emblematic silhouette of the Creator: the sari, limiting its maximalism par excellence to its blouse decorated with jewelry. Nothing less than an event that defines the culture, the 25th anniversary of the designer in full swing, which was held at the Jio World Convention Center, saw more than 100 models and 600 guests, encompassing the decor as well as Deepika Padukone and Christy Turlington Walking together for the closing of the show.

The range has witnessed an expected but astonishing dose of maximalism rendered to unavoidable everyday life such as trennies, short skirts, wide pants and even knitting with high collar. Surprisingly, the most ethnic silhouettes have remained minimal, allowing swollen tissues to do most of the bulk of work.
The set of Alia Bhatt, also taken from the collection of the parade, played with one of the original and emblematic design codes of Sabya: the blouse with neckline often plunging contrasting with its more modest sister with long sleeves. Designed by Ami Patel, the sari in pure silk of Bhatt was a perfect example of what Sabya mentions about crafts in his conversation with the fashion authority, Suzy Menkes. “The living culture of crafts is supported by women because they are the biggest consumers of crafts. Whether jewelry or clothing, women like their maximalism and their traditional clothes. In India, women wear more traditional clothes than men and were the real propagators and defenders of craftsmanship, ”shares the visionary designer with Menkes.
