This is called intolerance. Doctors believe that most of the people in India have milk intolerance i.e. the intestines do not accept milk. There are many foods like this. We don’t realize that eating it causes this problem. But there are many things which, if not eaten, can solve stomach problems.
Avoid these foods in case of stomach problems
1. Milk-India cannot be imagined without milk and milk-based sweets, but you will be surprised to know that most of the people in India do not accept milk. That means they have milk intolerance. Dr. Shrihari Anikhindi of the Gastro Department at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi told that milk contains lactose. Lactase enzyme is released to digest it but in most people very little lactase is produced. Due to this, many stomach related problems like gas, indigestion, constipation, bloating persist.
2. Pulses- In India, pulses are called the milk of the poor. Although pulses have now become expensive, India cannot be imagined without pulses. Lentils are a treasure trove of protein. But the amount of fiber in pulses is very high which makes it difficult for some people to digest. The reason for this is that the bacteria present in the intestines like the fiber of pulses, which it eats rapidly and starts fermenting it. During fermentation, a lot of acid is produced in the stomach, which causes gas and indigestion. Due to this the stomach always remains bloated.
3. Cruciferous VegetablesAccording to Mayo Clinic, the situation is the same with cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc. Although these vegetables are very powerful. This reduces the risk of cancer. But these vegetables cause bloating in the stomach. The stomach is always bloated. Due to this, excessive gas production starts. If you eat these vegetables the day after and have the problem of gas and bloating, then understand that your intestines do not accept these vegetables.
4. Soft drinks-Whenever some people have severe gas problem or feel upset in their stomach, they start gulping down soda or soft drink, but you should be aware that soft drink or soda itself is carbon dioxide gas. Going into the stomach, it further increases the problem of gas. Therefore, whenever you have gas, do not consume these things.
5. Legumes-According to Healthline, leguminous vegetables such as beans have a very high amount of fiber. After eating this, bacteria start eating the fiber of these foods rapidly, due to which fermentation starts in the stomach and a large amount of gas starts forming. This is the reason why some people start having stomach problems after eating these vegetables.
