As much as Pakistan is responsible… US Vice President’s advice for finding Pahalgam’s faults

US Vice President JD Vance reacted to the death of 26 people in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on Thursday, 1 May, saying that he hoped that India would respond to Pakistan in such a way that “comprehensive regional conflicts” can be avoided. He has also asked Pakistan to cooperate with India to “discover” the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack.

JD Vance said in a podcast interview with Fox News, “We hope that India should respond to this terrorist attack in such a way that there is no comprehensive regional struggle. And we hope that Pakistan, to the extent it is responsible, will cooperate with India to ensure that sometimes the terrorists active in their territory are detected and dealt with.”

At the time when this deadly attack took place in Kashmir, JD Vance was on a tour of India with his family. He called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the terrorist attack, expressed his deep condolences on tragic deaths. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on X that like JD Vance, it was also expressed that America is standing with the people of India and is ready to provide all assistance in a joint fight against terrorism.

The US Vice President also wrote on X: “Usha and I express their condolences to the victims of the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. In the last few days, we have been overwhelmed by the beauty of this country and its people. Our thoughts and prayers are with them when they are mourning this terrible attack.”

Many top American leaders, including President Donald Trump, have condemned the attack. He has also expressed his support for India by not directly accusing Pakistan.
