Police have arrested famous actress Meher Afroz Sean in Bangladesh. He has been accused of treason. Meher was called by the Metropolitin police of Dhaka for questioning. The police arrested him after questioning. Police say that Meher was one of the conspiracy to conspiracy. Meher’s father Mohammad Ali has been associated with Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League. He has also been an MP.

Meher Afroz’s father Mohammad Ali was associated with Awami League. He was a member of the Advisory Council of Jamalpur district. He was elected to Parliament from the Reserve seat in 1996. He also wanted to contest the last parliamentary election from Jamalpur-5 seat but the party did not give him a ticket.

According to Bangladesh newspaper ‘Dhaka Tribune’, a fierce mob of some local people and students set fire to Mohammad Ali’s house in Narudi railway station area of Jamalpur after sabotage. Before sabotaging Ali’s house and setting fire, a fierce mob took out a procession through several areas of the city. The crowd also had stone pelting before setting fire to Ali’s house.

On Wednesday, the interim government of Bangladesh has reacted to the incidents of arson and sabotage in Dhanmandi of Dhaka and the second of the country. Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government, has expressed concern over the incidents of arson and sabotage. His statement came after the sabotage in the house of Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman, the founder of Bangladesh. Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman was the father of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina came to India after the violent agitation of students in July-August last year in Bangladesh. She has been living in India since then. The interim government of Bangladesh has demanded India to hand over it several times.
