What is NATO organization?

Its headquarters i.e. headquarters are in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. But it is dominated by other western countries (France and UK), which has nuclear weapons including the US.

But on the other hand, Russia, and especially President Vladimir Putin NATO does not see NATO as a defensive alliance. He considers it a threat to Russia’s safety. When the Soviet Union (earlier Russia) disintegrated in 1991, NATO expanded rapidly in Russia’s neighborhood. The countries built there became its members and Russia always saw it with suspicion. Ukraine also wants to become a member of NATO and Russia does not tolerate it at any cost.

What is Donald Trump’s stand on NATO?

For a long time, NATO’s axis has been revolving around America, but now questions are being asked openly about the future of NATO. Even though the Trump administration has said that the United States is not coming out of NATO and is committed to defense partnership with Europe, it warned that “will no longer tolerate the unbalanced relationship promoting dependence.”

Trump is insisting that America does most funding in NATO Alliance and he will no longer tolerate it. Trump has constantly asked European allies to give more funding. In his election rally, Trump openly encouraged Putin to attack the countries who failed to pay NATO bill.

Billionaire Alan Musk, who became the most special in the new government, has also said that America should come out of United Nations and NATO.

What if America leaves NATO?

German Chancellor Frederick Merge has appealed to fellow leaders of Europe to “strengthen Europe as soon as possible” to give freedom from America. He suspects the usefulness of NATO “in the current form”.

If there is no America in NATO, then an important part of the military capabilities of the coalition will be over. This can weaken the current status of collective defense of member countries, especially in stopping countries like Russia.

This is a big reason for the European country (except for the chances of the Chancellor of Germany), we will try to keep America in NATO till the last hope.
