Bloodywood is the music you get when a dhol enters a mosh pit

It was the last piece of the bloody wood puzzle. The group folk-metal sound of the group and irreverent humor have become a vehicle for more serious comments on intimidation (‘enduring’), rape culture (‘Dana-Dan’) and politics polarization (‘Gaddaar’). They even titled their first album in 2022 Rakshak To report their belief in power of music to save us. This new seriousness does not remove the energy of GOOFBALL from the group. They love their word games – calling their tours “Raj Against the Machine” and “Return of the Singh” – and often tease new announcements with funny sketches and bizarre memes. They even released a golden brown vinyl for Rakshak (which they call the “Nine inch Naans” edition).

Although they intensified more thoughtful answers with jokes and soft ribs, Katiyar, Bhadula and Kerr are only three friends who have enjoyed and have somehow became pioneers in the Indian metal scene. Currently during their EU / United Kingdom tour, Bloodwood plays in closed counters, placing the Indian goddesses with cosplaying fans and bringing out giant duck stuffed animals in the middle of a Mosh pit. From there, they want to take the rest of the Indian metal scene with them. And their second album, Nude delhitestifies to this intention: a tribute to the music and culture of their hometown and the country in general. “There are so many good Indian acts now, not only in metal but also in independent and rap artists like Hanumankind,” explains Bhadula. “The quality is unreal. This is why I think we are going to achieve world domination over the next five years. And then we may take it to the moon. ”
