Can Asia Cup 2025 be organized not in India but in this country?

Asia Cup 2025: Asia Cup, which is being considered important for the preparation of T20 World Cup 2026, can be on neutral venue in September, although India has the right to host. The last time in the Asia Cup ODI format took place before the 50 -over World Cup in India in 2023. A source in the Asian Cricket Council said, “The tournament will be held in September. India has the rights to host but it will be played in UAE or Sri Lanka. The specialty of the tournament will be a contest between India and Pakistan and if they reach the finals, both teams can clash with each other three times. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong will play in the Asia Cup.

The BCCI has the rights to host but the Pakistani team does not seem possible to come to India in view of the developments of the Champions Trophy. The Indian team is playing all the matches in Dubai in the Champions Trophy due to security reasons, although the host is Pakistan. (The 2025 asia cup is likely to be shifted from India to the united Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the report, the final decision on the event venue will be taken by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), N Sri Lanka and UAE are currently being considered as possible host countries, but no final decision has been taken yet.
The Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format, in which 19 matches will be played in two weeks. A total of eight teams including Pakistan and India will participate in the tournament. The 2025 Asia Cup will now include 8 teams, which will be the first time in the history of Asia Cup.
