Chase game banned in Afghanistan, Taliban cited this reason citing Sharia law

How can the Taliban rule and do not come strange decree, how can this happen. The latest news is that the Taliban government in Afghanistan has banned the game of chess i.e. Chase till next notice. The Taliban is afraid that this game has become a means of gambling. According to the BBC report, the officials said that the game’s game has been banned indefinitely. First it will be investigated whether to play it with Islamic law or not, based on the same, it will be banned forever or the ban will be lifted.

This is not the first game in Afghanistan to ban the Taliban. The worst condition is of women there. They are not allowed to participate in any kind of game, every game is banned for them.

Why did the Taliban take this decision?

The Taliban government has continuously implemented laws and rules since capturing power in 2021 which reflect its extremist thinking towards Islamic law. According to a report by news agency AFP, Sports Directorate spokesman Atal Mashwani said, “Chase is considered a means of gambling in Sharia (Islamic law),” which is prohibited as per the law announced last year.

He said, “There are religious views regarding Chase’s game .. Unless these ideas are noticed, Chase is banned in chase game in Afghanistan .. Afghanistan’s National Chess Federation has not organized any official program for almost two years.”

Last year, the Taliban banned free style fights like Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in a professional competition, saying that it was very “violent” and “problematic” in relation to Sharia.
