Patna. Patients will no longer have a problem of beds at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in the capital. A 500 -bed medical college hospital is being built for this. A part of it was handed over to the people of Bihar by CM Nitish Kumar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 200 -bed Block A and Block D at the Medical College Hospital building located in the premises of Indira Gandhi Medical Institute of Medical Sciences today. Let us tell you that due to the restoration of all 500 beds, the total number of beds in IGIMS will be about 1700.
Know the new hospital specialty
The Radiology Department in Block A of the ground floor of the new hospital building and Kitchen, MGPS Service Block in Block D. There is 60 beds available for Gynecology Complex in Block A of First Floor and Gynecology Ward in Block D. Pediatric in second floor block A and 10 beds equipped with state -of -the -art facilities in NICU and PICU, while 60 beds are available for Pediatric ward in Block D. There are 10 beds equipped with state -of -the -art facilities in the Medicine Department and ICU and MICU in Block A of the Third Floor.
Dialysis facility is on Fifth floor
10 beds are available for the medicine ward in Block D of the new hospital building. There are 10 beds available for Surgery Department and BICU and SICU in Block A of Fourth Floor, while Block D has administrative department and lecturer theater. Fifth floor block A has 10 beds available for the orthopedic department and RICU and dialysis. Block D has 20 beds available for private rooms. Medical records and blood bank facilities are available in Block A of Six Floor. At the same time, 20 beds are available for private room in Block D.
State -of -the -art facilities
Every floor of this building has different departments and all the facilities related to those departments are available on the same floor. This will not require the patients to wander around. All work will be on the same floor. Separate floors have been set for each department. On that floor, all necessary facilities including OPD to OT, Doctors Chamber, Ward have been provided. Apart from this, the heads of departments will be able to monitor their department through cameras. It has many modern facilities for patients and family members.
There is a waiting hall like an airport to sit for family members. There is a facility of drinking water, cleaning toilets, trolley and lift to bring patients. The beds are also a laundry facility and state -of -the -art kitchen for washing the dress. Basement parking has also been arranged for 150 cars. Apart from this, a separate mortuary building and electric substation building has also been constructed in the hospital building premises.
