The Karnataka film’s chamber of commerce (KFCC) threatened that if Mr. Haasan does not apologize, he forbids the release of a multilingual film in Karnataka. The film is expected to be released in theaters on June 5.

Karnataka Minister Shivraj Tangdagi warned on Friday that if actor Kamal Haasan does not apologize for his commentary on Kannada, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) will impose “ban” on his films in the state according to the decision of the Trade Film (KFCC). Meanwhile, the president of the KFCC, M Narasimhlu, said that exhibitions and distributors had voluntarily decided that if Hassan does not apologize, they will not publish their film.

The KFCC said Thursday that it would not allow Haasan’s film `Thug Life ” to go out in Karnataka until it apologizes until May 30 for its controversial remarks on Kannada.
