Diljit Dosanjh defends the decision to release Sardar G3 only abroad

The actor Punjabi-singer Diljit Dosanjh defended the decision to publish the film “Sardar G3” abroad in the middle of the controversy on the role of the Pakistani artist Hania Aamir.

The controversy recently started after Dosanjh shared the trailer for “Sardar Ji 3”, which will be published abroad on June 27. Many people on social networks have demanded the ban on Punjabi-Musician actors, while organizations like All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) have criticized Aamir to work for Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Dosanjh said in an interview with the BBC Asian Network that when he had signed the film, there was no problem between India and Pakistan. He said that producers of the film were already facing losses, because the film will not be released in India because of the ban on Pakistani actors and that it should be published abroad.

He said: “When this film was made, the situation was good … We had shot it in February and everything was fine at that time. You see, there are a lot of things that are not under our control. Apparently, the film will not be released in India now, so the producers have decided to have been released abroad.” Dosanjh said the producers had invested a lot of money in the film and that they had no hope of increasing the thirty between the two countries.
