Documentary by Nayanthara: The High Court of Madras rejected Netflix’s request against Dhanush in the copyright dispute case

Chennai. The high court of Madras rejected Tuesday a request filed by Los Gatos, an Indian unit of the Ott Netflix platform, with the petition of actor Dhanush on the alleged copyright violations by the famous actor Nayantara, his Mari Vignesh Sivan and others.

The court initially rejected Dhanush’s petition

The High Court of Madras rejected Tuesday the request filed by Los Gatos, an Indian unit of Ott Forum Netflix, in which actress Nayantara, her husband Vignesh and others canceled the prosecutor filed by actor Dhanush in the event alleged copyright alleged copyright that it had been requested. Judge Abdul Qudos rejected the request filed by Los Gatos and set the next hearing on the petition filed by the Dhanush Wonderbar production house for February 5. Wonderbar urged the petition to give intermediate ban on the prohibition against Los Gatos and others.

Nayantara documentary

 Dhanush said in his request that he had produced the Tamil film “Nanum Rowdy Paddy” a few years ago. He alleged that images behind the curtain at the time of film production had been unofficially used in the construction of the documentary of Nayantara “ Nayantara: Beyond the Fairytail ” which broadcast on Netflix.

Dhanush said that the Netflix office in Mumbai which is out of the jurisdiction of the High Court of Madras, he filed a request before this court asking permission to continue the OTT forum, which was authorized. Netflix filed a request with the request to cancel the order.

The High Court rejected the Netflix request to cancel the authorization and reject the debate. The prosecution was requested to reject on the basis that there is no emergency because the documentary has already been published, so that the applicant should have opted for compulsory arbitration. The high court did not agree and rejected the request.
