Donald Trump banned the International Criminal Court, know why he took such a big step

US President Donald Trump has been in action since the swearing -in. Trump is constantly drawing the attention of the world through his orders. This time Trump has imposed restrictions on the International Crime Court for the “baseless” investigation targeting the US and its close aide Israel, in an executive order. The order said that the Hague’s court has “misused his power” by issuing an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu met the US President on Tuesday.

The order stated that the tribunal was engaged in “illegal and baseless actions targeting the US and our close aide Israel”, referring to the ICC investigation of alleged war crimes by Israeli soldiers in Afghanistan and in Gaza.

What is in Trump’s executive order?

The US President ordered the confiscation of property against the ICC officers, employees and their family members who help in the court investigation and impose a ban ban.

The US ban expresses support for Netanyahu’s support for him after his visit to the White House, during which Trump revealed the plan to “capture” Gaza and transfer Palestinians to other Middle Eastern countries.

Netanyahu’s arrest warrant continued

None of the US and Israel is a member of this court. There has been no response from the ICC regarding restrictions.

The ICC issued an arrest warrant on 21 November for Netanyahu, his former Defense Minister Yov Galant and Hamas military chief Mohammad Def. Regarding Def, Israel says that he is dead.

Trump has imposed ban on ICC before

Trump took the ICC as a “Kangaroo Court” and took this step after starting an investigation into allegations of war crimes against American soldiers in Afghanistan.
