Dua Lipa’s Chanel look for the 2025 Met Gala was adorned with feathers, crystals… and Callum Turner

Dua Lipa has delivered memorable gala moments over the years: there was the purple psychedelic dress of the Versace workshop that she wore for 2019 Camp-Ceration on the theme; The Chanel Haute Couture archival dress from fall / winter 1992, originally carried by Claudia Schiffer on the track, which she chose to honor Karl Lagerfeld in 2023; and the Marc Jacobs number inspired by the boudoir which she wore for the Sleepy beauties Theme in 2024.
This year, the singer again turned to Chanel for her gala look puts 2025. In accordance with the “Tailored for You” dress code, Lipa wore a low -open -open muslin muslin dress with a long arch, a black glitter tweed jacket and an organza cape – all decorated with crystals, pearls and feathers to add in the sense of the drama. In total, the complete look took 2,000 hours to do and has 45,000 embroidered elements, highlighting the remarkable level of exposed crafts.
Of course, Lipa’s relationship with the French fashion house dates back to this day: the star previously revealed how she had made follies on the Chanel Boy bag after receiving her first pay check from her record company more than ten years ago Radical optimism Tour, where she wore a body version of the dress chained originally on Christy Turlington on the Spring / Summer 1992 parade of the house (Lily -Rose Depp then wore the dress at Met Gala 2019) – and was announced as Face of the Chanel 25 Bag earlier this year.
