During the theater, I focus all the attention on originality: Rajkumar Rao

Actor Rajkumar Rao said on Wednesday that he focuses on originality during work and tries to avoid being inspired by an old film to play any character. Rao came to Indor to promote his new film “Malik”, which will be released in theaters on July 11.

In this film, he will be seen in a beating role. When he was asked if he had been inspired by an old film to play a killing role, he told journalists: “To say honestly, when the shooting of a film continues, I really try not to watch a special old film at the time (for inspiration).”

Rao (40) said: “I want each character I play seems to be absolutely original and this character has emerged from the story of my imagination and my film.” He said that if he would be in his subconscious, he should try to repeat a good scene from an old film, his originality as an actor will end.

For his experimentation, Rao said: “I don’t want to keep myself equally in a character as an actor.” I want me to play at least a character each year that shocked you and you start to think that you did not expect such a performance on my part.
