The Kovid-19 epidemic is over, but its effect is still on many people. Especially those people who were hospitalized due to this disease, are still facing health problems. Two separate studies found that the risk of neurological, respiratory and other serious diseases to people affected by Kovid remains for a long time.
In the first study, French scientists analyzed the health data of about 64,000 people, which were tracked for 30 months. This research was published in a magazine called ‘Infections Disease’. The study showed that the death rate was higher among the people hospitalized due to Kovid, 5,218 people died every 1 lakh.
In these 30 months, such people were more likely to be hospitalized again due to any disease. Especially, he was at greater risk of neurological, mental, heart and respiratory problems.
Although men and women were likely to be hospitalized, women had to be more admitted due to mental problems. At the same time, the elderly over 70 years of age were at greater risk of hospitalization due to diseases related to organs.
The most important thing is that the risk of neurological and respiratory diseases, chronic kidney failure and diabetes continued for 30 months in people affected by Kovid.
According to Dr. Charles Burdate, “Covid-19 patients remained at risk of serious health complications and death even 30 months after being hospitalized, which reflects the far-reaching effects of the disease.”
Dr. Sara Tubiana, the lead writer of research, said, “This study confirms that the effect of Kovid-19 is not only limited to early infections, but it affects health for a long time.”
The second study was conducted by scientists from Rush, Yale and Washington Universities in the US. In this, 3,663 people were tracked for three years.
The study published in the magazine ‘The Lancet Regional Health’ found that the physical and mental health of the patients affected by Kovid for a long time did not recover even after three years. However, those who took the vaccine, saw better results of health improvement.
