I love the black atmosphere because it goes with everything, but right now, my drug of choice would be the silver. I have another day and there are already all my things. It’s really daring, and now it’s my everyday bag.
Tell us about the shooting of this campaign.
We had a lot of fun making this video. I loved running in New York. I loved working with [director] Gordon von Steiner. There was just this frequency on this subject; They mainly said, have fun. So we danced and the energy on the set was magnificent. It’s like when I go on stage, I just feed on the crowd. And here, with the team, it was just fun and free. Now when I watch the video, I think it really shines.
Let’s talk about beautiful young cannibals: this song was a success for years before your birth. Did you know before singing it in this campaign?
Yes, I knew it in a way, but now I know all the words. I love: I think it added to energy – there is this youth and this energy on this subject – she drives me crazy – you just want to go wild.
Which brings us to your album, Radical optimism. How do you apply this to daily life?
I think it rolls with punches. Anyway, there will be ups and downs. I think that as long as you keep a positive state of mind and you even appreciate the not so good bits, you learn from them. You are making the most growth in your comfort zone. So there is this radically optimistic side of me that is like: “Oh, it’s going to go.” And anything, it’s a learned lesson. So, I think that applying it to everything has changed the situation for me.
With all your success, do you still have time to go shopping just for fun?
It depends. There are certain cities where I like to shop, such as Tokyo, Paris or New York. In some places, I naturally gravitate to stores, and then sometimes I am like, okay, where can I go? A restaurant, a museum, a good evening? So, different cities for different things, and I feel so lucky that I can do that.
