Actor Manoj Kumar, known as “Bharat Kumar”, played the role of patriotic hero in films like “Upkar” and “Kranti”, was cremated here with honors of the full state here. In his acting career, Manoj Kumar, also known as “Bharat Kumar”, gave many successful films, notably East and West, Anonymous, Be-Aman and Neil Kamal. In his cinematographic career, Kumar played and produced the Roti Clot Aur House (1974) and also won the Prize for Best Director at the Filmfare Awards in 1975.
