Woven on professions with simple little ones by Tripuri women, Rignai is a burst of color and geometry which serves as cultural fabric of the state. The textile marked GI has complex scratches and diamond patterns, the creation of which requires both dexterity and patience because each pattern is counted and chosen by hand, one thread at the same time. For centuries, each Tripperi woman has woven her own Rignai, making everyone a heritage that tells of family and tribal stories.
