From today on tour of Thailand and Sri Lanka, PM Modi will attend these programs including BIMSTEC Summit

PM Modi will reach Thailand on a 2 -day visit on Thursday. PM Modi wrote on social media about his visit that in the next 3 days I will visit Thailand and Sri Lanka and will participate in various programs organized with the aim of promoting India’s cooperation with these countries and BIMSTEC countries. In the first Bangkok, I will meet Prime Minister Partagarn Shinavatra and discuss all aspects of Indo-Thiland friendship. Tomorrow I will attend the BIMSTEC summit and will also meet King Maha Waziralongkorn of Thailand.

PM Modi will also go to Sri Lanka
PM Modi wrote that my visit to Sri Lanka will be from 4 to 6th. The visit is taking place after President Anura Kumar Disanayake’s successful visit to India. We will review the multi-faceted India-Sri Lanka friendship and discuss new opportunities for cooperation. I am waiting for various meetings to be held there.
PM Modi will meet the king of Thailand
PM Modi will hold talks with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Partagatarn Shinavatra and will attend the sixth BIMSTEC summit. PM Modi in Thailand will be given a grand welcome by the Indian community in Thailand. He will meet Shinavatra in ‘Government House’, where he will be formally welcomed. On Thursday evening, Prime Minister Modi will join BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal for Multi-regional technical and economic cooperation) leaders for an agreement on maritime cooperation. Leaders of Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Bhutan will attend this conference.
PM Modi will meet leaders of these countries in BIMSTEC
At the BIMSTEC summit, Modi will meet Nepal’s Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus and Myanmar’s military join leader Min Aung Having and other leaders including other leaders. Referring to the leader of Myanma, Thailand’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nicornadej Balanakura said, “He will attend the meeting day of the summit.” Myanma last week caused a huge earthquake in the country’s second largest city Mandalay and other parts.
PM Modi will visit Shinavatra Watt Pho
This will be a direct meeting of BIMSTEC leaders after the fourth BIMSTEC summit in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2018. The last summit was held in March 2022 in the video conference format in Colombo. PM Modi will also meet Raja Maha Waziralongkorn of Thailand (also known as Rama tenth) and Rani Suthida. PM Modi and Thailand’s Prime Minister Shinavatra will visit Watt Pho, one of the top six temples in Thailand. This place is famous for a huge statue of Buddha lying.
Apart from the huge statue of lying Buddha, this temple is also famous for innumerable Buddha’s idols around it. It was the first center for public education in Thailand, where courses of science, religion and literature were available. The Prime Minister will attend the BIMSTEC summit on Friday morning, where the group is likely to accept ‘Bangkok Vision 2030’. External Affairs Permanent Secretary Exiri Pintaruchi in the Thailand government said that ‘active, flexible and open Bimstech’ theme is the main attraction of this regional group headed by Thailand.
