Fugitive diamond businessman Nirav Modi’s bail application rejected in London court

PNB bank scam accused and fugitive diamond businessman Nirav Modi has once again received a big setback. Nirav Modi’s bail application was rejected in the High Court of London. He had sought bail opposing extradition in India and said that his life in India is in danger. This was the 10th bail petition of Nirav Modi, which was turned down by the court on the basis of the arguments of CBI and Crown Prosiction Service. A CBI team, which included investigations and legal officials, reached London and actively involved in lobbying the case.

Please tell that Nirav Modi is lodged in Britain’s jail since 19 March 2019. He is accused of fraud of 13 thousand crores to Punjab National Bank. Earlier, the High Court of Britain has also approved its extradition in favor of the Government of India.

Mehul Choksi, the main accused in the ‘fraud’ case of millions of dollars in Punjab National Bank (PNB), was arrested on 12 April in Belgium after extradition request of Indian investigative agencies.
