‘Good News’ is coming on Russia-Ukraine War? Putin showed a desire for peace talks for the first time in years

Is peace in Ukraine finally going to be established? Russian President Vladimir Putin himself has now shown its desire. In the midst of a conversation with the US for the peace agreement, Putin proposed bilateral talks with Ukraine for the first time in the years on Monday, 21 April and said that he was ready for longer ceasefire after a 30 -hour Easter ceasefire. At the same time, a separate Ukrainian President Washimir Jailonsky confirmed that Ukraine is sending a delegation to London to meet the US and other Western countries on Wednesday, 23 April.
Significantly, the London talks are the sequel to a meeting held in Paris last week in which the US and European states discussed ways to end the war more than three years old.
According to the Reuters report, in his comment, Putin said that Russia is ready for any peace initiative and is expected from Ukraine. According to the Interfax News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov told the media, “When the President said that it was possible to discuss the issue of not attacking the civil goals including bilaterals, the President had talks and discussions with the Ukrainian side.”
The Ukrainian President Jailonsky was not talking about Putin’s comments on bilateral talks in his comments while the Ukrainian President Jailnsky was announcing the Ukrainian delegation. Gelnsky wrote, “Ukraine, United Kingdom, France and United States – we are ready to move as creatively as possible, as we have done earlier, to achieve unconditional ceasefire. After that for the establishment of real and permanent peace,”, he also explained that he had a good discussion with his British Prime Minister Kir Stormer.
Earlier, both US President Donald Trump and External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio said on Friday that if the two countries (Ukraine-Russia) did not make much progress within a few days, then Washington could go away from peace talks. Trump took a more optimistic stance on Sunday, saying that “hope” that both sides “this week” would make a compromise.
