Gul Sohrab founders Amit Malhotra and Saurabh Kumar work hard but their ’fits work harder

“But communication has also increased,” said Sohrab. “It’s good to have these debates to find solutions.” Amit concedes. Although he tends to be mistaken on the side of perfection and is hard with himself when he makes a mistake, Sohrab sees him as a creative opportunity. For example, a fabric panel that was sewn on a Kurta in a bity shirt (or “shurta”) to solve a problem with autumn has finally been part of the brand’s design language.
The demarcation between the days of the week and the weekends can be one thing of the past for this couple, but even with all the uncertainty, the chaos and the conflicts that accompany the co-directing of an emerging fashion brand, Amit has managed to prune his slow fantasy after all. He spends an important part of his cooking of days, taking care of his plants and playing with his two dogs, Jugnu and Jigar. Once a week, he and Sohrab have a duty to leave the house – and they agreed that Gul Sohrab will follow them by the door. “It’s been a while since we got out and that we did nothing work. We always collect things and think about work, ”admits Sohrab. Obviously, the brand is all the best for that.
