What is Sharadi and how is it made?
Sharadai is a cold and nutritious drink that is grinded with nuts and seeds and made with milk and water. It usually adds gurdbandi almonds (a particular kind of almonds), pistachios, poppy seeds (pumpkin, melon or sunflower seeds), pepper, cardamom and rose petals. Many times, they also add saffron to it, which increases its flavor and frayers even more. Sugar or jaggery is added to taste. This drink not only provides coolness but also gives many micronutrients to the body.

Nutrition Profiles and Benefits
According to nutrition experts, Sharadai contains plenty of healthy fats, plant-based proteins, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium and minerals which are good for heart and overall health.
- The almonds and pistachios present in it give energy and strength to the body.
- Magges and seeds give the body a good dose of protein and minerals.
- Cardamom and rose make digestion easier and relax the mind.
- In summer, this drink keeps the body hydrated and cools down.

A glass (approximately 200–250 ml) is available in Sharadai on an average of 8 to 12 grams of protein. However, it depends on what kind of nuts you add and how much milk you add to it. On the other hand, readymade protein shakes are specially made to give more protein and they can contain 20–25 grams of protein per serving.

There is a big difference here. Sharadai is full of healthy fats, micronutrients and natural energy. But if you just want to hit high protein targets like gym goals or medical nutrition, then Sharadai cannot fully replace the protein shake. Yes, if you are looking for healthy and natural options then Sharadai is a great drink.
