I eat 30 grams of protein for breakfast—here’s how my life has changed

The current obsession of the Internet? Protein. Start the day with protein for breakfast – a meal with around 30 grams – can have a radically positive effect on your day. Studies show that having protein for breakfast can help have a clearer mind, fewer PMS symptoms, more energy and better concentration. Here’s how I could improve my protein consumption, getting between 28 and 32 grams each morning. And after doing it for a month, spoiler alert: I don’t intend to stop.
Why the protein is so important
Most people have already internalized the importance of a regime rich in protein: protein supports the body in the construction and repair of muscles, skin and organs and helps the production of enzymes and hormones that control our metabolism and immune system.
Protein is particularly important for women because it helps to regulate hormones such as estrogens and progesterone, as well as for a role in mood and sleep. A lack of protein can also cause hormonal imbalances.

How to get 30 grams of protein for breakfast
I used to eat a single hard egg in the morning, which I now know represents only 7 grams of protein. Here’s how I reorganized my breakfast to enlarge it, better and filled with many healthy and generous foods. I currently switch between three dishes to obtain enough protein for breakfast:
- An omelette made from three eggs, a cup of cottage cheese and one side of cucumbers, avocado and tomatoes
- 8 ounces of Greek yogurt full fat garnished with flax seeds, organic berries and a tablespoon of almond butter
- A recipy by seline Pettersen that i studs across by luck: Boil 50 grams of Rolled oats in Unsweeted Almond Milk, Add Half a Banana and Mash with a fork, Mix in Cinnamon and Berries (Frozen Organic Berry Mix), and finish with 8 ounces of cottage cheese. Yes, the cottage cheese seems out of words, and I was also reluctant at the beginning. But the combination of sweet and salty is celestial – and all those who have tried it so far confirms it!
The three breakfast alternatives can be varied using spices or changing their preparation, and they keep me full for several hours.
How a breakfast filled with protein changed my life
Eating such a meal rich in protein in the morning or the middle of the morning definitely gives me more energy throughout the day, which I noticed on the first day. I also realized that I am never distracted by snacks at work, and I feel satisfied before lunch. The consumption of a higher amount of protein in the morning brought much more calm in my day.
