“I should get justice” CRPF jawan caught after marriage from Pakistani girl
Crpf jawan appeals to PM: On Saturday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Munir Ahmed was sacked on the charge of hiding a Pakistani woman and giving shelter in India even after the visa was over. Now Munir Ahmed has justified these allegations against him and has pleaded for justice from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking to the news agency ANI, Munir Ahmed said that “it has been mentioned in the dismissal letter that he did not inform the authorities about his wife’s stay in India after the end of his visa. But I had given information, I have evidence. I have evidence. I adopted all the necessary procedures and also submitted documents.”

Munir married on video call
Munir Ahmed and Menal Khan (who is a Pakistani citizen) married on 24 May 2024 on a video call. Munir says that he informed CRPF about this marriage in October. In February this year, Menal Khan came to India via Wagah-Atari border and started living with Munir Ahmed. His 15 -day visa ended in March, after which Munir applied for Long Term Visa (LTV) for him. A month later, after the death of 26 innocent people in the Pahalgam terror attack, strictness on Pakistani citizens in India increased. Menal Khan was to be deported, but he got relief from Jammu and Kashmir High Court at the last minute.

Gran information about marriage to officials: Munir
Munir told that he was on leave after his wife arrived. “I joined duty on 23 March. I told the officials everything. I showed him his visa and also informed about the application of long-term visa. Then suddenly my posting was transferred to Bhopal. My posting was till 2027 in Jammu and Kashmir. When sent to another battalion, I did not get a 15-day joining time. I did not even get that even a ticket for the train. It happened that I also wrote a letter to the Director General (DG), which is still in the process.
CRPF officials said that Munir Ahmed was dismissed because his work was found to be harmful for national security. According to reports, they have been dismissed under the rules that do not require investigation.
CRPF spokesperson Deputy Inspector General M. Dhinakaran said, “Munir Ahmed has been dismissed with immediate effect as he hid the marriage information from a Pakistani citizen and deliberately gave refuge to him even after the validity of the visa was over. He was found to be fatal for national security.”
