If any structure on Indus river will be attacked, Pak Defense Minister gave a jackal to India

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has warned India that if it created any structure on the Indus River, “violating the Indus Water Treaty”, Pakistan will attack it. This warning has been given in the context of the suspension of the treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, most of which were tourists. After this attack, there has been a huge decline in relations between India and Pakistan.

Pakistani Defense Minister made this statement in TV program

India has taken many strict steps in response to this attack, including suspending the 1960 Indus Water Treaty. This treaty was made about water distribution between the two countries. In a program of Geo News on Friday, Defense Minister Asif said, “If they (India) will try to create any structure, we will attack it.”

Asif said that making any structure on the Indus River will be considered “Indian aggression against Pakistan”. “Aggression is not only by cannon or bullets; it has many forms. One of them is (stopping water or changing direction), which can lead to deaths due to hunger and thirst.”

The Pakistani Defense Minister said, “If they make any architectural efforts, Pakistan will destroy the structure. But at the moment we are turning to the forums that we are available, the beginning from the Indus Water Treaty (IWT). We will pursue the matter.”

According to a media report on Friday, Pakistan is planning to issue a formal diplomatic notice against India to unilaterally suspend the Indus Water Treaty. This decision was taken after preliminary deliberations between Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Law Ministry and Ministry of Water Resources.

Apart from this, Pakistan on Saturday launched training in Abdali weapon system. It is a surface -to -surface missile, which has a firepower of 450 kilometers.

Earlier, on 24 April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said to punish the terrorists and their supporters involved in the Pahalgam terror attack.

In a high -level meeting with the top defense officers on 29 April, Modi said that the armed forces have complete operational freedom to fix the way, target and time of retaliation.
