If you bought oil from Iran… Donald Trump’s warning to the world, is it not being made on the nuclear deal?

US President Donald Trump wants to make a nuclear deal with Iran, but on his condition and the matter seems to be trapped here. After the postponement of indirect talks on the nuclear deal between the two countries, US President Donald Trump again threatened against Iran, saying that whichever country or individual will buy oil or petrochemicals from Iran, he will face immediate American sanctions.

Trump wrote on his own social media platform Truth on Thursday, 1 May, “All purchases of Iranian oil or petrochemical products should stop now! Any country or person who buys any amount of oil or petrochemical from Iran will be immediately imposed on secondary sanctions.”

He said, “They (who will buy oil from Iran) will not be allowed to trade with the US in any way, size or form. Thank you for paying attention to the matter.” According to the report by the news agency Xinhua, Trump has adopted a strategy of “maximum pressure” against Iran since assuming power in January, including strict ban on oil exports and threats of military action.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said on Thursday that the fourth round of indirect nuclear dialogue between Iran and the US to be held in Rome on Saturday has been postponed on the resolution of the mediated Oman. Only after this, Trump’s warning came and it seems that he is pressurizing Iran to bring back on talks. Esmail Baghai confirmed Iran’s determination to use diplomacy to protect the country’s “legitimate and legal” interests and to eliminate restrictions and economic pressure against Iran.

Actually, where the talks were to be held, that is, Rome, after the death of Pope Francis, the Vatican will start its conference next week to choose the new Pope. Two other rounds of America-Iran talks have been held in Oman’s capital Muscat.

Trump is making all kinds of pressure

The talks have demanded limiting of Iran’s nuclear program. In return, the US will remove some economic sanctions imposed on Iran. The talks are led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and American Middle East Envoy Steve Witchoff.

Trump has repeatedly threatened that if the agreement is not reached, air strikes will be carried out by targeting Iran’s nuclear program. At the same time, Iranian officials are warning that they can try to make nuclear weapons with a reserves of arms-grade levels.

Significantly, the world powers together made a nuclear deal with Iran in 2015 and thus limited Tehran’s nuclear program. However, Trump unilaterally withdrew America as President in 2018.
