Health Tips: Pig rearing can spread communicable diseases. According to the Department of Animal Husbandry, if a mosquito first bites an infected pig and then the same mosquito bites a person, then a person can be a victim of serious illness.

Sanandan Upadhyay/Ballia: By the way, the risk of many diseases increases during the rainy season. Sometimes strong sunlight, sometimes shade and sudden rain spoils the health of people. In this season, the biggest danger is the fear of communicable diseases, due to which is the increasing number of water logging, dirt and mosquitoes. In such a situation, people need to be vigilant and aware. Let me tell you that especially in ward number 1 and 2 of Ballia Nagar, Sukar (pig) is done in large numbers, in which some negligence can be expensive.

According to Dr. SD Dwivedi, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer of Government Veterinary Hospital Nagar Ballia, pig rearing can also play a role in spreading communicable diseases. The Animal Husbandry Department has clarified that if a mosquito first bites an infected pig and then the same mosquito bites a person, then humans could be a victim of serious illness, whereas it does not affect the pig. If stated in ordinary language, a little carelessness in pig rearing can become fatal for human beings.

He said that pig rearing should be removed from the population, so that the disease does not spread. Apart from this, pig farmers need to take special care of cleanliness, prevent water logging, use mosquito nets, sprinkle lime, properly diet and special focus on living. During the rainy season, water logging increases the number of mosquitoes and flies rapidly, which increases the risk of diseases like encephalitis, dengue, malaria.

Told that communicable disease control campaign is going to start soon. Under this, people will be made aware from house to house, as well as cattle rearers are also trained. If people adopt the above measures, then not only their animals will be safe, but the nearby population will also be away from these dangerous diseases.
