More often than not, my holidays were work that blurs the border between loving my work and extinguishing to come back recharged. Call this a professional risk of working in fashion, but Paris, one computer thing for many newlyweds, has almost always been a work base for my pilgrimage to bi-annual fashion week. Needless to say, the city of love is not so romantic when you run from one pillar to another, typing notes while simultaneously dodging the puddles to save your virgin Ruby-Rouge sambas. Finally, in search of a real break and on a mission to do nothing, I arrived in Pemako Punakha, a luxury retirement nestled on Bhutan, leaving all my appointments, times and routes at the reception.

The two and a half hour journey from Thimpu’s picturesque airport in Punakha had the impression of being returned to prehistoric where nature reigned supreme. For someone who pays $ 12 for Wi-Fi in flight, having a zero network as a car that I was zigzaguated through Misty Valleys made the start of this very wild adventure. Pulling the black travel case which completed my airport look, I carefully crossed a suspension bridge on a gushing river – the only link with the retreat nestled under the foliage on the other side of civilization. A scene from David fleeing a bug in a wheat field of Schitt’s Creek came to mind and I stamped this thought.
