IND vs Eng 3rd T20i Highlights: Due to the poor performance of their batsmen, India suffered a 26-run defeat to England in the third T20 match on Tuesday, although the hosts are still 2–1 in the five-match series. Chasing the target of 172 runs to win, the Indian team could only manage 145 runs for nine wickets. Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs but for this he played 35 balls. (Scorecard)
For England, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood were effective in Powerplay, while leg -spinner Adil Rashid put pressure in the middle overs. In the first two matches, Sanju Samson could not play comfortable in front of Archer, after scoring three runs in six balls, then he became a victim of this bowler. Opener Abhishek Sharma scored 25 runs in 14 balls but Bridan Cars sent him to the pavilion.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 14 runs in seven balls and he once again lost wickets cheaply after playing wrong shot off Wood. Tilak Verma, who was running in the form, could not maintain the rhythm and Rashid’s ball hit his stump directly.
Earlier, Mohammed Shami made a brilliant comeback in international cricket after 14 months, but Varun Chakraborty took five wickets, spreading the magic of Firki, with the help of which India stopped England for nine wickets for 171 runs.
After the aggressive half -century of Ben Docket (51 off 28 balls), the England team lost the rhythm and Chakraborty on the flat wicket gave it one after the other. At one time, England’s score was 83 runs for one wicket, which was 127 runs for eight wickets. Liam Livingstone scored 43 off 24 balls to bring the team to 150 runs.
Chakraborty took five wickets of the innings for the second time in T20 cricket when he bowled Jofra Archer on googly. Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket for 46 runs in four overs while Chakraborty took five wickets for 24 runs in four overs. Akshar Patel took one wicket for 19 runs in three overs.
